Y.M.C.A. Hut at University – 1921

Will Fix Y.M.C.A. Hut at University

The Y.M.C.A. hut at the State University is to be remodeled and used as a meeting place for student organizations. At present there is no place on the campus where organizations can meet.

One-half of the hut is being used by the campus store, but the other half has been idle since the close of the Student Army Training corps at the university in 1918.

This hut was built one Sunday in October, 1918. On that day carpenters and bricklayers of Missoula contributed their services and it was completed in one day. The local mills donated the lumber.

Work on the remodeling will be started Aber day when the outside of the hut will be painted.

It is a one-story building about twenty-five feet square.

A committee of faculty members has charge of the building.
