University of Montana Building Additions

The following photos appeared in the Missoulian Centennial issue on page 30 of Section E. Below are the captions for those photos.

Music Building Attractive Addition to Campus

One of the most unusual buildings in the Missoula area is the Music building, which was dedicated in May 1953 on the Montana State University Campus. Its functional design, created to best fit the purposes for which the building was constructed, at the south end somewhat resembles a grand piano. (Courtesy of Montana State University)

Field House Provides Huge Arena

This is the interior of the huge Montana State University Field House which was dedicated in December of 1953 with a packed house attending a basketball game between the Indiana Hoosiers and the Grizzlies. Besides being a tremendous asset to the University, the Field House has provided much enjoyment and education for residents of western Montana.
