Beginning of the Orchard Homes Ditch – 1900

 

The two notices below, from April 2, 1900, signaled the beginning of Orchard Homes Ditch in Missoula.

 

 

Notice to Contractors

 

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the undersigned until 5 o’clock p.m., April 4, 1900, for furnishing the materials and labor of all kinds necessary for the construction, etc., of head gate, check and waste gates, culverts and bridges on the Orchard Homes canal.

 

Plans, specifications and other information may be obtained at the office of Finkelnburg  & Catlin.

 

All proposals must be accompanied by a certified check of $100.

 

The right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
