Natural Gas Comes to Western Montana
One of the big developments of the 1950-60 period in Missoula and western Montana was the arrival of natural gas lines in 1955. The gas was first used here June 25, 1956. Crews are shown installing pipe in the fertile Bitter Root Valley for extension of this Montana Power Co. service to Hamilton, Stevensville, Corvallis and other communities.
