Boy Scouts at Home in Great Outdoors
This photo, taken in 1924, could just as well have been taken in 1960. Boy Scouts still love the outdoors, still lash tripods, and sleep beneath the lean-to. The hat looks a little primitive, but the boys have not changed and their activities haven’t either. (Courtesy of Boy Scouts)
Tent Plus Woods Plus Boys Spells Scouting
Boy Scouts with a tent, cookstove and forest are in their element. Scouts of the Missoula area went to summer camp at Camp Paxson on Seeley Lake for many years, before switching their summer activities to Melita Island in Flathead Lake. (Courtesy of Boy Scouts)
