Religion School Affiliates With U in 1924
The Montana State University School of Religion, an incorporated body, became affiliated with the University in 1924. That year there were but six students who pledged themselves to enter Christian work.
In 1925 this group grew until there were 13 enrolled and in 1926 21 students had stated a desire to enter some Christian life work.
A student could take as many as six courses in religion and get credit for them in religion and get credit for them toward his degree. During the year 1924-25, 46 students were enrolled in the school, and in 1925-26 there were 61 enrolled. Out of 1,300 students in 1925-26, 1,015 claimed relationship to some church.
