Secretary Taft Is Greeted
Secretary of War Taft was in Missoula last night for a short time. He arrived on No. 3, which was delayed four hours, and was here during the time the train stopped. He spoke genially to those that were presented to him and made many friends during the short time. The secretary was in his private car and had just come from a trip through Yellowstone park. He is on his way around the world and is now headed for the Philippines.
In the party were the secretary, Mrs. Taft and Charles, the 11 year old son of the secretary of war; William Mischler, Mr. Taft’s private secretary; R. H. Murray of the Philadelphia North American and Robert Lee Dunn, war correspondent and photographer.
