English Jockeys Ride Daly Horses in 1892

T. Glover, J. Moores and I. Prendergast, three English jockeys engaged by Marcus Daly to ride for him one season, arrived in Montana from England in March of 1892. They went to Hamilton directly after arriving at New York. They came from New Market and had been riding for the Duchess of Montrose, a news item said, adding, “They are little bits of fellows, weighing from 90 to 110 pounds, and are splendid riders.”
