Death Ends Sufferings of a Well Known Miner

Death came at 2:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon to Joseph Reece at the Trinity Hospital, an account of whose critical condition following an accident at DeBorgia of six weeks before was given in this paper yesterday.

Reece was about 40 years of age and had been employed as a miner at a number of Western Montana camps for several years. He was well known under the nom de plume of “Rocky Mountain Joe,” a title under which many items concerning affairs and conditions of Montana have appeared in print.

The article above appeared in the weekly Missoula newspaper, Fruit Grower and Farmer, on Feb. 28, 1902.
