Rock Creek Dam

Rock Creek Dam

A corporation for the development of a power plant on Rock Creek, Missoula, Mont., is being formed. The incorporators are Judge F. C. Webster and John and Vincent Shaughnessy, all of Missoula. The new company will be incorporated for $500,000, and a majority of this amount is to be spent in the erection of a hydro-electric power plant at the mouth of Rock Creek, east of Clinton. According to Judge Webster, it is the intention of the new company to erect a plant that will generate about 20,000 hp., the greater part of which will be used by the De Smet irrigation district for pumping purposes.

The above article was taken from the Aug. 10, 1920 weekly Power magazine. To my knowledge the dam and plant were never built.
