Ditch Company To Name Commissioner

Missoula Irrigation District To Hold Annual Election Today.

One member of the board of commissioners of the Missoula Irrigation district is to be elected today. The term of W. J. Dickson as a member of the board expires. Mr. Dickson is a candidate for reelection and has no opposition, according to announcement made last night.

The irrigation canal of the ditch company is the pioneer ditch of the Orchard Homes district. It was established by Ed Miller, Joseph Booth and Owen Kelley in 1880. The water from for the ditch is diverted from the Missoula river at the foot of Mount Sentinel. The canal system has 28 miles of laterals besides the laterals of individuals throughout the Orchard Homes district. The company is made up of 250 water users.
