HELL GATE LODGE NO. 383 FOUNDED IN 1897
The citizens of Missoula founded the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Hell Gate Lodge No. 383 in the year 1897. Having grown steadily, its membership now exceeds 1,650 making it the Missoula’s largest fraternal organization.

- Projects of Local Lodge
- Contributes $1,500 annually to the Montana State University Speech and Hearing Clinic
- Gives $1,000 for scholarship and youth leadership to seniors and freshman at MSU
- Youth Boxing Program
- Contributes to Babe Ruth and Little League Baseball programs
- Annual Christmas Party for underprivileged children of Missoula County
