Hartley A. Calkins – engineer
Calkins worked with several notable Missoulians, including the Toole brothers and Grant Higgins. Blessed with a graphic memory his story covers large parts of Western Montana and Eastern Idaho. While he goes into minute detail about building and grading the first roads in many places, his stories are unique and often humorous.
