Cobbans sell several thousand acres of Blackfoot & Bitter Root timberland – 1900
Brief from Hamilton paper – The Western News on July 4, 1900
“A deed has been filed at Missoula transferring from R. M. Cobban and wife to W. A. Clark, for $62,500.50, several thousand acres of timberland in the Blackfoot country and in the Bitter Root valley.”
No mention is made where, or how, Mr. Cobban was able to obtain these several thousand acres.
