Chicken Coop and Sacred Heart Academy

Chicken Coop Served as Starter for School-Hospital.

This white structure, a chicken coop when the Sisters of Charity of Providence took it over in 1873, was used as a school-hospital at that time as the forerunner of today’s Sacred Heart Academy and St. Patrick Hospital.
